- The installation of an in-ground scale requires excavating a pit of appropriate depth in the ground, followed by placing and securing the scale body within the pit.
- In-ground scales are designed with high resistance to contamination, as most components are installed underground or in enclosed areas, minimizing exposure to external environmental interference. Regularly inspect the sensors, electronic control systems, and connecting cables.
- To ensure long-term accuracy, annual calibration and adjustment are recommended.
It should be 1.2 to 1.5 times the maximum total weight of commonly used vehicles and cargo. For example, if the maximum total weight of commonly used vehicles is 80 tons, a 100-ton weighbridge should be selected to ensure accuracy and extend service life.
Digital load cells offer clear advantages: superior interference resistance, longer transmission distances, and individual replacement capability. However, they are 10-20% more expensive.

Implement a three-pronged anti-tampering system: infrared beams + video surveillance + data encryption. Regularly inspect sensor cables and junction boxes, and use digital sensors.
Minor settlement (≤5mm/year) can be compensated by adjusting sensor screws. Crucially, select foundations with bearing capacity ≥150kPa and ensure proper waterproofing.
